“What is a god? A god is a personification of a motivating power or a value system that functions in human life and in the universe-the powers of your own body and of nature.” -Joseph Campbell
My illustrations reflect my introspection into my own experiences by manifesting those influential forces as deities. By manifesting authoritative energies in my life as animal characters I’ve mythologized facets of myself within the anthropomorphized images. By depicting aspects of my own personal narrative I hope to visually articulate my experiences and share them with others inviting them to find a similar connections themselves.
